TamaCloey Cliffside Odyssey

Still earlier in the season for this swim, which is governed as much by the tide on idiosyncratic Tamarama beach as it is by Sundees on the calendar. This is a swim which can be termed an "epic" without risk of hyperbole. The main swim here is one of the great courses in ocean swimming in Sydney - along a spectacular cliff, past some of Sydney's most turbulent beaches, around the enigmatically named Shark Point, across the reef and into the idiosyncratic -- in its own way -- shelter of Clovelly Bay.

This year, new events added at the very lovely Clovelly Bay for new swimmers and for kids -- 600m OceanFit, 400m OceanKids, and 200m OceanKids. There are entry requirements for the OceanKids swims, so please ensure you go to the event website for full information.

IMPORTANT: All kids entering either the OceanKids 400m or 200m must either be a registered Nipper or have participated in a free swim evaluation. For dates and times of the free swim evaluations... click here

Note that there will be no race day entries for the OceanKids 400m or OceanKids 200m. You must enter these events beforehand. Race day entries will be available for the 2.5km TamaCloey Cliffside Odyssey, but at a $10 premium (entry fee on race day $45). There will be race day entries for the OceanFit 600m, but entries are limited to 100 swimmers, so don't leave it too late.
